I’m not sure if the staff I met back in 2008 are still here, but I recently found you again thanks to a friend from Leeds, and I just want to say thank you. This was the place where I had my first “real” beer and meal after returning from my last combat deployment as a Marine in Afghanistan. The staff was so pleasant and genuinely surprised to have me there. After hearing how I ended up at their place and what I had gone through just hours before, they graciously gave us our first round and even my lasagna on the house as a thank you for our service. We were Americans, but that didn’t matter—they welcomed us with kindness and open arms I’ll never forget. If you haven’t been, this is a fantastic place to visit. The atmosphere was great, the crowd was awesome, and the staff truly made it special. 10/10 would recommend!

Very welcoming team with friendly service. The rooms were nice, and they have pet friendly options. The location in the center of town is a nice plus too. Spending time in the pub was always an enjoyable experience, with several draft options. The kitchen staff takes great pride in their work, and it shows. We never had a bad meal here! It's not your standard pub fare. They experiment with different flavors and styles, always with exceptional results.

Booked the Bell hotel for a small wake and must say very impressed. Food was absolutely perfect and staff were ever so friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you ever need a function or even just a place to hold a works meeting or get together. Absolutely fantastic and huge thanks to all for making the wake a happy event

Hospitality starts here. PCS movers and traveling Mil READ HERE. TLDR: NEW OWNERSHIP, OLD RATINGS DO NOT REFLECT CURRENT HOTEL STATUS - FANTASTIC STAY. Pet friendly, STARLINK internet, PUB and Restaurant with outstanding bar staff and a brilliant in-house chef. Family atmosphere, many regulars bring in family old and young-- does not get too loud and will not interfere with you or your family if you just want to Hotel and skip the bar/restaurant completely during your stay. Close to everything and HOTEL PARKING AVAILABLE at no cost. TLDR OVER. FULL BREAKDOWN BELOW, it's a read but it's worth it. Like many people, I was moving to the area for work and as such I needed a proper hotel while I secured a home, specifically one that is pet friendly since I was coming with my two cats. I was a given a few options and the Bell was one of them, while also being the most convenient location for work in temp lodging. I wasn't expecting anything special, per say, but I most certainly did not expect the absolutely outstanding stay I had here with Kim, Mike, and their lovely staff. DO NOT LET THE OLD REVIEWS DECEIVE YOU. The Bell is under new ownership and since then the family-style team here has been working tirelessly to turn around the old rep it inherited. Kim and Mike took over ownership a year or two ago and since then I have gathered from my stay that the hotel I read about prior to arriving versus the one I had during my stay are very VERY different places. FEATURES: Let's get down to it. This is not a four or five star hotel, and it does not pretend to be. Do not expect a bar in your room, or massive TVs and such. You do have a whole bar and pub downstairs though, in a rich wood finish with an absolutely phenomenal and engaging staff that is always ready to ask you how you are and what will make you better! Starlink encompasses the entire hotel, so the internet is FAST by comparison of your average 3-star hotel. I was able to work and play at high bandwith with no interruptions or connection problems. Pet friendly rooms get an extra room so that your furry family has plenty of room to move around in or hide, and at a very reasonable price I might add. Rooms are always kept clean by the cleaning staff or private if you wish-- fresh towels, vacuuming, and bed turn-down. The works. DAILY, and they will always KNOCK in the mornings in case you are inside but do not have a sign on your door-handle. There is easy access in and out of the hotel for residents with a hard locking door for those of us late-night smokers who want to use the outside patio. The Pub downstairs also has a restaurant and neither should be overlooked. Draft and tap with mixed drinks and friendly conversation-- everyone from staff to patron makes you feel at home. Regulars come in every night to drink and dine, and Rob, their chef, never cooked me a meal that I couldn't clean the plate of with haste. On Sundays he does English dinner and that is something you must try. People look out for you here, even though you're just a passing guest, they bring you in to the family atmosphere and make being away from home a little less daunting and a little more homely. Everything you might need is within the block or a block away from the Bell, including two grocery and corner stores, KFC, Dominoes, a coffeeshop, two REAL barbershops (ya'll know what I mean), and so much more. St. Andrews Cafe is literally right around the corner and that's where I would go for breakfast. The Bell's location is also a good jump point out to Ely, Brandon, and all the surrounding towns. Kim and her staff are very knowledgeable and more than once gave me great recommendations to try out since I was going to be staying for a while. Parking is free and private, located in a nice convenient park behind the hotel with easy access in by a one way road. Even on busy nights with an event happening I never had a problem finding a parking space for my car. That's everything you need to know. Bell Staff, thank you for making me family here. I won't forget it, or all of you.

Family stayed over and said that the room they had was excellent value for the £65 they paid on a Saturday night. We all went for dinner. We added 3 more to our party of 8 at the last minute and they coped well. Made us very welcome Good knowledge of their gf menu options. Despite also having a 50guest function on at the same time, the service was fabulous! The food was excellent value and everyone enjoyed their meals. The specials board had some good choices that expanded the menu.
